Board Games

During my undergraduate degree, I have also contributed to the development of two different board games. The board games were designed, play tested with various gamers and presented to a board of selected critics at the University of Portsmouth.

This was a good experience as it helped me appreciate both physical and digital game design, and it allowed me to understand how to prototype game ideas on paper before a technical implementation inside an engine. Furthermore, the projects also taught me the importance of user testing and strengthened my speaking skills as final products had to be presented to a board and tough questions answered confidently and on the spot.

Gods Wrath: Turtle Disaster

Gather, scavenge, and trade for resources in this cooperative board game taking place on the back of a giant travelling turtle. Complete prophecy cards to keep the wrath of the Gods meter low and survive as long as possible, avoiding various disasters along the way.

RealmWalker

Navigate the game board dungeon by drawing and placing passage tiles and warp cards, collecting points along the way, and outscoring your opponent. Fight monsters, the other player, or the boss to gain points.
